Vipassanà (Insight) Meditation

…Vipassanà meditation means observing every phenomenon occuring at the six sense-doors.

…the Boddhisatta was liberated from the àsava-kilesas, and became the Buddha though observing the arising and passing away of the upàdànakkhandhas..

…The Buddha himself found the right Middle way.. by avoiding the two extremes..

…All the former Buddhas, Pacceka-buddhas and Arahats practised this Satipatthàna way, were purified and reached Nibbana. In future too, all the Great Ones will follow this Satipatthana way and reach Nibbana.

Insight is the good deed by which one sees for oneself the impermanance and so on of mind and matter whenever one sees, hears, smells, tastes, touches or thinks. To Buddhist the development of this goog deed of insight is the most important of all. Only when a person has acquered this good deed insight will be reach the Ariyan Path and Fruition and attain Nibbãna, the end all sufferings
